What kinds of things do you like to eat for breakfast? These are some out of the ordinary things I’ve eaten while on holiday.

Wow! Didi, what is all that amazing looking food?
I love the look of those two items on top. They look super yummy!
Beignets from Café du Monde in New Orleans! I never miss eating them when I’m there. Brioche king cake tom France. Yummy, buttery and very hard to pass on.
So when is Didi going to organise a New Orleans beignets-tasting event! I’ll be first to sign up! 😉
Well Tom have never actually made them. I just enjoy them when I go home on holiday. I’m really not good with frying. 🙂
Good God those beignets look good. I miss beignets so much. I want finger beignets pretty much every day of my life. :p
Well if you’re ever in New Orleans go to Café du Monde in the French Quarter and get some. 🙂
I’ve been managing my blog reading experience through my email service. I saw these pictures and had to click to get a better look! *drools* 🙂
Thanks! I really miss those beignets from Café du Monde in New Orleans. 🙂
Oh my! Didi I visited New Orleans, for the first time, earlier this year and the trip would not have been complete without that tasty treat from Cafe du Monde. They were just heavenly! Needless to say, I can’t wait to visit again!
I can’t wait to get back to get some too! Ah New Orleans! A great place to break a diet. 😉
Right, you’ve been on holiday!
Hey have you seen that new book by Rebecca Solnit Unfathomable City: A New Orleans Atlas? I see there is a Goodreads giveaway but only for UK and US. Looks interesting.
No I haven’t, but will check it out. How come France is always left out of the good giveaways? And anyway have you ever won a Goodreads giveaway? I’m starting to think they are only for those living in the US. 🙁
I thought from the photos you had been to New Orleans 🙂
I never see a Goodreads giveaway on a book I want to read probably for this reason. It is as if because we live in France, we only have people in France reading our blog, so not the case at all. It could also be about the postage, publishers may have local deals for postage, even with ARC’s they only want you to offer the giveaway’s within the US.
Are you doing NaNoWriMo?
You’re probably right. Yes I am participating in NaNoWriMo this year. I’m re-writing my novel to focus more on character development in the hopes of finally finishing. I wasn’t at all happy with and haven’t been able to finish it. Not so sure I’m going to succeed in writing the 50,000 words though. Who knows?
Good on you for giving it another go, sounds like it’s not the 50,000 words that is the goal, but at least it brings the work back into focus.
I have too many things going on to think about writing, even though part of me relishes the thought of being able to escape into a fictional world of my own making.
I understand. Maybe next year? 🙂
