This evening was filled with music when I played with my orchestra the violin above at 6:30pm. My daughter played her flute with her orchestra an hour and a half later. We then spent the rest of the evening enjoying lovely music from all the other orchestras until 11pm. What a great way to start the weekend! 🙂

Fabulous … great picture of your violin … wish I had been there to enjoy the music also
I taped a bit of Mathilde’s concert with my camera and the music with my iphone, so I’ll send you some of it. The best song they played was the theme song to Pirates of the Carribean!! 🙂
Can you forward that audio onto my mac? Thanks! 😉
Nice! Look forward to hearing whatever you taped!!!
Beautiful composition, between the violin and the fabric texture… I wish I’d continued with my piano lessons, as a kid… Now, several years later, kids and busy life only allow me to appreciate music… and take pleasure in seeing my children begin their paths… 😮
Well I’m a busy EFL teacher and a mother of 2 daughter 15 and 13, but that didn’t stop me from starting the violin 4 years ago. don’t give up on those little desires like playing the piano. Your daughters will love you even more for it!
Thank you! 😮
Didi, you’re a real inspiration 🙂
Thanks!
This photograph reminded me of the Alexander McCall Smith novel La’s Orchestra Saves the World! The fact that you teach, parent, play music, read, and write leaves me to wonder: are there more hours in your day than there are in mine? Are you an early bird or a night owl?
No there are 24 hours in my day too. I’m a night owl. I guess I’m just one of those people who have to stay busy. Soon things will start to slow down here come July. August I’ll be on holiday with my famly. I’ll just relax, read, blog, and hang with my husband and my daughters. We’ll all need a nice getaway by then. What about you? Night owl or early bird?
I’m both, go figure…
